Youth Business Programs
1. Western Youth Entrepreneur Program (WYEP)
Year round youth business loans
- Loans up to $25,000
- Available for youth 18 to 29 years of age
- Various repayment terms up to 5 years
- Operating and term loans available at an interest rate of prime +2%
2. Student Business Loans
Year round/summer student business loans
- Loans up to $3,000
- Available for full time students (secondary or post-secondary)
- Interest free during the months of April through October then becomes prime + 2%
- Interest rate is prime after three months
- Summer loan applications accepted starting April 1
3. Business Program
The Youth Business Program provides technical assistance to youth entrepreneurs including the following services:
- Access to business advisors
- Business planning guidance and assistance
- General advice in the areas of marketing and advertising, financial record keeping and business operations
